The moment this team gets a better coach and stops relying as much on Dustin "doesn't defend" Byfuglien, then they're gonna do some serious damage. They may still make the playoffs before then but it'll be in spite of that coaching staff.

If Hendricks and Tanev make this team, and Petan and Dano don't, I'm done. Until Maurice and co. are canned, that is. There's just no excuse for that level of stupidity. There's a reason Hendricks' last 3 teams got rid of him, and that reason is he sucks. Tanev scored in one game across the entirety of last season. Dano and Petan each doubled their combined offensive performance while also being better defensive players, AND driving the play. Side note, Copp deserves better.

Saddening to hear Dano seems to be misused , while his tenure in Columbus he was on hell of a hockey player, I know he can reach that 30 pts plateau.

I am aghast at the amount of complaining going on about coaching after just two pre-season games. You are all acting like the season is already over. From what I saw in the first two pre-season games is that the top two lines look quite solid and while they didn't score much they also didn't make many if any mistakes. They pairings that will stick like Morrissey and Trouba looked solid.

I think this goes way beyond two preseasons games to those complaining. Coaching really only effects teams discipline, special teams, and overall moral. That being said, the team is consistantly one of the most penalized teams year after year and have an absolutely pathetic pk. As a result, missed playoffs again. People are complaining necessaraly about the coaching through 2 preseason losses, at least hopefully they aren't taking it that seriously, so much as the consistent under-achievements under Maurice's coaching. I agree that the team has huge potential and it is frustrating to see them lose the way they have over the past couple years.

How dare you come in here and try and make a rational argument!

Preseason games 5-7 are where we should start to see some chemistry and I would use that as more of a measuring stick.

K boys, Jets are failing to impress. No big deal. Only thing you need to take away is that the sports books have the over under at 5 tonight in minnie. Since pre-season is currently 18-2-12 at covering the over 5, you'd be foolish to not give it a whirl. i mean thats only 2 unders in 32 games this entire preseason! Go earn yourselves some cold ones and throw some $$$$ down on tonight's over.

He's better than Armia, should be our 3rd RW, and seeing big minutes if a top 6 guy goes down. He's usually a left winger on the 4th line.
Maurice doesn't like him, so he doesn't get chances. He should be in a line WITH Connor, not fighting for ice time. Skill guys should play with skill guys.

Hard to look good when you either do everything yourself (like he has been), and get benched for being a puck hog, or try to work with your AHLER linemates and get benched when you can't get them scoring.

Again, there's a mountain of evidence suggesting Dano is more than ready for a big role with this team. He would be top 6 on about 10-15 teams, assuming they have a good coach.

Totally agree Ross. Rexy doesn't get much right though so take it with a grain of salt. Last year he was beating up on Perreault and yet he ended up being the hottest Jet the last 25-30 games.

You need to get a grip on Dano though. He is not making this team unless there are injuries to several of the regualr bottom six. Hendricks has been much better in every facet of the game than Dano. Hendricks have been over 60% on face-offs, done a great job on the PK, worked his butt off every single shift,
and demonstrated outstanding leadership on the bench.

Petan and Matthais have also been much better than Dano. Furthermore Roslovic has looked better as well and he won't make the team either. Heck, even DeLeo and Lipon looked better than Dano. There is no room left. Dano's last chance will likely be in Edmonton on Saturday.

My crush on Dano has clouded nothing. I know what I said. Hendricks was hilariously bad on the PK. He just stood there and waived his stick. He lacks the speed and hockey IQ needed to take away the puck/shooting lanes/passing lanes.

Side note: Connor-Roslovic-Dano needs to be a line. I guarantee 3 goals out of them.

Nice to see Spacek and Lipon in action. Either one of them in addition to Roslovic have the possibility of cracking the Jets roster.
